About The Position

The Global Source-to-Procure team plays a critical role in maximizing the value of OpenText’s supplier partnerships. As a Vendor Management Specialist, you will help ensure vendors deliver quality services, meet compliance requirements, and support business success. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across procurement, legal, IT, and business teams while helping strengthen vendor governance, risk management, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; relevant certifications are considered an asset.
  • 3-5 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain operations, ideally supporting indirect spend categories.
  • Experience with vendor negotiations, contract management, supplier performance management, and risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with vendor master data management and procurement best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP Ariba or similar procurement platforms is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with vendors to drive service excellence and positive business outcomes.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for vendor performance matters, supporting resolution of issues and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate supplier performance, gather feedback, and recommend enhancements.
  • Support vendor risk assessments and collaborate with IT, Legal, and business partners to mitigate operational, security, and compliance risks.
  • Provide reporting and insights on vendor performance, risks, opportunities, and procurement activities to support decision-making.
  • Conduct spend and contract analyses to identify savings opportunities, improve compliance, and support strategic sourcing activities.
  • Contribute to vendor consolidation, tail-spend reduction, and process improvement initiatives that enhance procurement effectiveness.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies that support procurement excellence.
