About The Position

The Vendor Oversight Team serves as a strategic partner in the management of Medicare Advantage vendor contracts. We provide end-to-end oversight across the contract lifecycle—from procurement through performance, compliance, and renewal—ensuring vendor partnerships deliver measurable business value. This role supports the end-to-end contract lifecycle, ensuring contracts are strategically developed, effectively executed, and actively managed to drive performance, accountability, and compliance. Drives measurable business outcomes including cost savings, improved vendor performance against SLAs, reduced compliance and security risk exposure, timely contract execution across the portfolio, and informed business decision-making related to vendor performance, risk, and sourcing strategies.

Requirements

  • Seven years of experience in vendor management, contract administration, supply chain management or related field.
  • Experience with government programs, such as Medicare Advantage, is required.
  • In depth, detailed knowledge and experience in current contracting policies and practices for the procure to pay / source to settle process.
  • Ability to provide strategic advice to the business in developing contractual documents.
  • Proficient in reviewing and interpreting contractual agreements (e.g. BAA, NDA, MSA, SOW).
  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Ability to work closely with business team in understanding and resolving issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in Health Plan business preferred.
  • Previous insurance or healthcare industry experience with government programs, especially Medicare Advantage is also preferred.
  • Experience supporting end-to-end contract lifecycle activities, including SOW development, SLA design, and contract execution
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendor performance, including SLA monitoring and corrective action planning
  • Experience supporting or coordinating cross-functional processes
  • Experience working in regulated environments, including exposure to risk management activities preferred
  • Experience within healthcare and exposure to Medicare Advantage highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business units to define requirements and shape contracting strategy aligned to business goals
  • Advise on development of Statements of Work (SOWs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and key contractual terms to drive quality, value, and clarity
  • Collaborate with Corporate Procurement, Office of General Counsel (OGC), and Compliance (OGACC) to ensure alignment with enterprise standards
  • Guide stakeholders through contracting requirements, including intake, documentation, and approvals
  • Identify opportunities for strategic sourcing, category management, and cost optimization
  • Conduct ongoing SLA monitoring and vendor performance oversight to ensure contractual obligations are met and issues are proactively addressed
  • Partner with the business to address performance issues, supporting identification of root causes and resolution of risks related to cost, quality, or timelines
  • Develop and support Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) for underperforming vendors; lead execution in partnership with the business when needed
  • Develop and deliver Monthly Vendor Scorecard reporting, providing visibility into SLA performance and key performance trends to drive informed decision-making
  • Facilitate or support vendor oversight meetings, including performance reviews, SLA discussions, and issue escalation discussions
  • Support contract termination and vendor offboarding activities, ensuring appropriate documentation and risk mitigation.
  • Lead cost savings initiatives, including tracking, validation, and reporting of financial impact
  • Facilitate inclusion of Medicare Advantage-focused contract language in collaboration with Procurement, Legal, and Compliance
  • Partner with business, Compliance, and vendors to support pre-delegation evidence collection and readiness activities
  • Coordinate with Information Security and business stakeholders to support Vendor Security Risk Assessments
  • Support FDR / non-FDR evidence collection and documentation to meet compliance requirements
  • Partner with compliance and audit teams to mitigate risk and address findings
  • Train and support business unit staff on contracting and procure-to-pay processes
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and job aids to improve consistency and efficiency
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to deliver business outcomes
  • Lead special projects and cross-functional initiatives
  • Coach and mentor team members as needed

  • PAY RANGE: Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate's skills and professional experience, geographic location, market, and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $73,600 and $123,200.
