Vendor Assist & Logistics Senior Manager (Onsite)
About The Position
The Vendor Assist & Logistics Senior Manager will support and manage shop assist suppliers. The Vendor Assist & Logistics Senior Manager will apply problem-solving expertise and build efficient working relationships across the many P&W functional groups; Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Global Work Share and multiple suppliers. The Vendor Assist & Logistics Senior Manager, will ensure an uninterrupted flow of parts to production while meeting specific quality, delivery, and contractual requirements. The Vendor Assist & Logistics Senior Manager will be the main point of contact for the shop assist suppliers you manage, and will coordinate and lead actions pertaining to business continuity and improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 10 or more years of experience in a manufacturing operations, supply chain, materials management, quality or related environment OR a Master's degree and 7 or more years of experience in a manufacturing operations, supply chain, materials management, quality or related environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of SAP

Responsibilities
- Responsible for logistics of the packing, shipping, and receiving team
- Supplier relationships: delivery and quality performance, business reviews, underperforming supplier reviews, customer satisfaction
- Project Management: Lead supplier qualification efforts for multiple process nodes, stakeholder and supplier reviews
- Delivery assurance: ownership of delivery commitment and execution, output support, risk mitigation, driving recovery plans with communication to internal customers, owning the recovery through Line of Balance (LOB) improvements
- Planning: daily interactions with site materials management team and planner for each value assist operation to ensure material flow and setting priorities at the supplier
