About The Position

The Vending Machine Service Technician maintains, refurbishes, delivers, and installs Pepsi equipment, including fountains, coolers, and vending machines, at customer locations in Sheridan, Wyoming. The technician diagnoses and repairs mechanical and electrical problems, performs sanitation service, and maintains appliances and related equipment. The role also involves scheduled on-call responses during non-business hours, completing service and vehicle records, maintaining the assigned service vehicle and shop area, and wearing appropriate safety equipment and a company-provided uniform.

Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally exert forces of up to 100 pounds using a hand truck or other manual lifting devices.
• Ability to meet the job's specific vision requirements, including close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, transport, and install vending machines, coolers, and other appliances at customer locations.
• Disassemble and reassemble appliances and replace or repair mechanical and electrical parts.
• Perform required sanitation service on appliances.
• Use tools and diagnostic equipment to identify appliance malfunctions, excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks, and loose parts.
• Calibrate control devices such as timers and thermostats and adjust contact points.
• Clean and wash appliance parts.
• Replace worn or defective parts, including panels, switches, pumps, compressors, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, blowers, and wiring.
• Repair and adjust appliance motors; reassemble appliances and adjust and lubricate moving parts.
• Respond to customer call-in needs on a scheduled on-call basis during non-business hours.
• Complete vehicle records, service-call logs, and other associated forms.
• Keep the assigned service vehicle clean, perform pre-trip inspections, and perform routine oil, water, and air maintenance.
• Clean the shop work area.
• Wear and use appropriate safety equipment and wear the company-provided uniform while maintaining a professional appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
