About The Position

Aebi Schmidt USA is seeking a Vehicle Technician to assist with police and emergency vehicle builds. The role is suited to someone with strong 12V electrical skills, mechanical aptitude, and an interest in growing with a high-performing team. Prior experience is a plus but is not required. The position is listed in Pompano, Florida, as a regular hourly, non-exempt employee role, with pay of $19.00–$21.00 per hour. The technician assists lead installers, removes and reinstalls vehicle components, installs emergency-vehicle equipment, performs basic wiring, and supports fabrication and equipment fitment. Requirements

Solid understanding of 12V electrical systems.
Experience using hand tools such as sockets, wrenches, and screwdrivers, and power tools such as drills and impact guns.
Ability to drill, modify brackets, and follow installation procedures.
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a shop setting, such as vehicle upfit, stereo installation, or a body shop.
EVT or ASE certification.

Responsibilities

Assist lead installers with emergency vehicle builds.
Remove and reinstall vehicle components, including bumpers, seats, trim, and lights.
Install push bumpers, cages, lightbars, lock boxes, and interior lights.
Perform basic wiring, including crimping, splicing, and setting light patterns.
Support fabrication and fitment of custom equipment.
