Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I (Manheim)
About The Position
This role is responsible for accurately inputting vehicle information into the SECURE Application using a handheld computer, installing GPS trackers, removing and documenting license plates, affixing stickers, placing work order numbers and routing labels, flagging "no key" cars, and directing transporters. The specialist will visibly demonstrate a commitment to safety by following all safety and health procedures. This position may require cross-training for check-in and providing assistance to the EPII team when needed. Additional duties may include driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes on sale days and working overtime as business needs dictate.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED preferred, OR less than 2 years of related work experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
- Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
- Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- 1 – 3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.
- Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
Responsibilities
- Input accurate vehicle information (VIN, stock number, dealer identification number, make, model, year, mileage, color, etc.) into the SECURE Application using a handheld computer (Zebra TC75x) for each vehicle received at the Auction.
- Install GPS trackers in OBII Port or with Metal security cable.
- Remove license plates and document them.
- Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
- Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
- Flag "no key" cars.
- Direct transporters to the proper car drop zone.
- Report transport damage as needed.
- Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
- Cross-train for check-in and provide assistance to the EPII team when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, such as assisting on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes.
- May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.
