About The Position

This role is responsible for accurately inputting vehicle information into the SECURE Application using a handheld computer for each vehicle received at the Auction. The specialist will also install GPS trackers, remove and document license plates, affix barcode/stock number stickers, and place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles. Additionally, they will flag "no key" cars, direct transporters, report transport damage, and demonstrate a commitment to safety. This position may require cross-training for check-in assistance and performing other duties as assigned, such as driving vehicles during sales. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED preferred, OR less than 2 years of related work experience.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test (excluding marijuana).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• 1 – 3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information into the SECURE Application using a handheld computer (Zebra TC75x) for each vehicle received at the Auction: Vehicle Identification number (VIN) Stock number Dealer identification number Make, model, year, mileage, color, etc.
• Install GPS trackers in OBII Port or with Metal security cable.
• Remove license plates and document them.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
• Flag "no key" cars.
• Direct transporters to the proper car drop zone.
• Report transport damage as needed.
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
• Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Cross train for check-in and provide assistance when needed for the EPII team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e. assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes, etc.
• May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.
