About The Position

This role is responsible for accurately inputting vehicle information into the system using a handheld computer for each vehicle received at the Auction. This includes details such as VIN, stock number, dealer identification number, make, model, year, mileage, and options. The specialist will also affix barcode/stock number stickers, place work order numbers and routing labels, associate and install OBDII tracking devices, and direct transporters to the correct drop zones. A strong commitment to safety procedures and modeling safe behaviors is essential. Additional duties may include assisting on sale days by driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED preferred, OR less than 2 years of related work experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information for registration into the system using a handheld computer (Zebra TC) for each vehicle received at the Auction including: Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Stock number, Dealer identification number, Make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
• Associate and install OBDII tracking device.
• Direct transporters to proper car drop zone.
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
• Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e. assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes, etc.
