About The Position

Cox Automotive is seeking a Part Time Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I to join their team at Manheim. This role involves accurately inputting vehicle information, managing vehicle identification, and ensuring proper vehicle flow within the facility. The specialist will also play a role in maintaining safety procedures and assisting with various operational tasks, including driving vehicles during sales events.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Generally, less than 2 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test (marijuana drug test not administered for this position, but it is a drug-free workplace).
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 Handheld Device using the Secure Check-in App, including VIN, stock number, dealer identification number, make, model, year, mileage, and color.
  • Affix barcode/stock number stickers on each vehicle received.
  • Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry and flag “no key” cars.
  • Direct transporters to proper car drop zones and report transport damage as needed.
  • Provide proper sale identification windshield code to drivers passing through the registration/check-in area.
  • Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors.
  • Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, such as assisting on sale days by driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes.
