About The Position

This role is responsible for accurately inputting vehicle information into the AS400 computer system using a handheld computer or headset. The specialist will affix barcode/stock number stickers, place work order numbers and routing labels, flag "no key" cars, and direct transporters. They will also take digital images of vehicles, provide sale identification windshield codes, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety procedures. Additional duties may include assisting with driving vehicles through auction sales lanes on sale days.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred, OR less than 2 years of related work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to work an evening shift.
  • Must work at a specified Cox location.
  • Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test (excluding marijuana for this position).
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Input accurate vehicle information (VIN, Stock number, Dealer ID, Make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc.) into the AS400 computer using a handheld computer or headset.
  • Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
  • Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
  • Flag “no key” cars.
  • Direct transporters to proper car drop zones and report transport damage as needed.
  • Take digital image of vehicle upon receipt.
  • Provide proper sale identification windshield code to the person driving the vehicle through the registration/check-in area.
  • Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors.
  • Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, such as assisting on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes.
