About The Position

This is a part-time role for a Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I at Manheim. The specialist will be responsible for accurately inputting vehicle information, managing vehicle identification, and directing vehicle flow within the facility. A strong commitment to safety and the ability to perform various physical tasks are essential. The role involves working in an environment with frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions and moderate noise levels. This position requires the ability to drive vehicles with both standard and automatic transmissions and involves basic computer skills.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Generally, less than 2 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test (excluding marijuana for this position).
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 Handheld Device using the Secure Check-in App, including VIN, stock number, dealer identification number, make, model, year, mileage, color, and options.
  • Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
  • Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
  • Flag “no key” cars.
  • Direct transporters to proper car drop zones.
  • Report transport damage as needed.
  • Provide proper sale identification windshield code to the person driving the vehicle through the registration/check-in area.
  • Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling behaviors related to Safety Excellence.
  • Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
