About The Position

This role is responsible for accurately inputting vehicle information into the SECURE Application using a handheld computer for each vehicle received at the Auction. The specialist will also install GPS trackers, remove and document license plates, affix barcode stickers, place work order numbers and routing labels, flag "no key" cars, and direct transporters. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and the role may involve cross-training for the EPII team and assisting on sale days. The position requires reliability, a strong work ethic, and accuracy in data management, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred, OR less than 2 years of related work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test (marijuana testing may not be administered for this position, but it is a drug-free workplace).
  • Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 – 3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

  • Input accurate vehicle information (VIN, stock number, dealer ID, make, model, year, mileage, color, etc.) into the SECURE Application using a handheld computer (Zebra TC75x).
  • Install GPS trackers in OBII Port or with Metal security cable.
  • Remove and document license plates.
  • Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
  • Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
  • Flag "no key" cars.
  • Direct transporters to the proper car drop zone.
  • Report transport damage as needed.
  • Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
  • Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Cross-train for check-in and provide assistance to the EPII team when needed.
  • Assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
  • Work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.
  • Demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and a high level of accuracy when entering and managing information within electronic systems.
  • Regularly interact with a diverse group of transportation partners and stakeholders and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
