About The Position

This role is responsible for accurately inputting vehicle information into the SECURE Application using a handheld computer for each vehicle received at the Auction. This includes recording details such as VIN, stock number, dealer identification number, make, model, year, mileage, and color. The specialist will also install GPS trackers, remove and document license plates, affix barcode/stock number stickers, and place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles. Additionally, they will flag "no key" cars, direct transporters, report transport damage, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety. This position may require cross-training for check-in assistance with the EPII team and performing other duties as assigned, such as driving vehicles on sale days. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate. The role demands reliability, a strong work ethic, and high accuracy in electronic systems, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • OR less than 2 years of related work experience.
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 – 3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

  • Input accurate vehicle information into the SECURE Application using a handheld computer (Zebra TC75x) for each vehicle received at the Auction: Vehicle Identification number (VIN) Stock number Dealer identification number Make, model, year, mileage, color, etc.
  • Install GPS trackers in OBII Port or with Metal security cable.
  • Remove license plates and document them.
  • Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
  • Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
  • Flag "no key" cars.
  • Direct transporters to the proper car drop zone.
  • Report transport damage as needed.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
  • Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Cross-train for check-in and provide assistance to the EPII team when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e. assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes, etc.
  • May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.
  • Demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and a high level of accuracy when entering and managing information within electronic systems.
  • Regularly interact with a diverse group of transportation partners and stakeholders and should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with individuals of varying backgrounds and personalities.
