About The Position
FCS Services is hiring a dependable, safety-conscious Driver / General Cleaner for the Orlando International Airport parking garages. This full-time position combines operating a company vehicle to collect and transport garbage from multiple garage levels with general cleaning duties throughout the facility. The role follows a rotating schedule of three first-shift days (6:00 AM–2:30 PM) and two second-shift days (2:00 PM–10:30 PM), five days per week, with two days off based on operational needs. Weekend work is required as assigned. The employee must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and meet company vehicle-insurance requirements before being authorized to drive. Airport employment is contingent on passing the required background screening, including a 10-year background history review, and qualifying for and maintaining a GOAA security badge. The work involves indoor and outdoor conditions, active parking garage operations, and physical cleaning and waste-collection tasks.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Meet company insurance requirements and be eligible to operate a company vehicle.
- Ability to safely operate a company vehicle in parking garages and around pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to follow driving routes, instructions, and established procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility and availability to work both morning and afternoon shifts according to the assigned schedule.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, push, and pull throughout the shift; perform repetitive cleaning and garbage collection tasks; and frequently enter and exit the company vehicle.
- Comfort working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and safely around moving vehicles, pedestrians, and active parking garage operations.
- Successfully complete airport background screening, including a 10-year background history review, and meet requirements to obtain and maintain a GOAA security badge.
- Meet applicable company driving standards and vehicle-insurance eligibility requirements before being authorized to operate a company vehicle.
Nice To Haves
- Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
- Previous driving, delivery, or garbage collection experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to collect and transport garbage from different levels of the parking garages to designated disposal areas.
- Follow established garbage-collection routes and procedures throughout the parking facility.
- Perform general cleaning duties when not assigned to driving and garbage collection tasks.
- Sweep and clean parking garage floors, ramps, stairwells, and walkways.
- Empty trash containers and replace liners as needed.
- Remove litter, spills, and debris from assigned areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
- Clean elevators, entrances, exits, payment areas, and other high-traffic areas.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and properly.
- Assist with pressure washing and other cleaning projects when needed.
- Conduct basic visual checks of the assigned company vehicle and report damage, maintenance concerns, or safety issues.
- Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, and damaged equipment to the supervisor.
- Follow company, airport, and vehicle safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Maintain professional conduct when interacting with airport personnel, tenants, and the public.
