About The Position

To aid in the manufacture and shipment of quality iron castings by means of maintaining, inspecting, servicing, repairing, cleaning and painting all plant vehicles, material handling equipment, mobil cranes; to troubleshoot and perform all mechanical and electrical repairs to this equipment. To know and follow proper safety procedures including proper operation of equipment and wearing proper safety equipment. To know and follow all reliability procedures process control requirements, testing procedures and job description cards as they relate work being performed. To report neatly and accurately work performed, findings or results of inspections, and time and materials used in completion of assigned work. To maintain work area in neat and clean condition and assure that materials and tools are returned to proper storage and all waste and debris is removed upon completion of assigned work. To report immediately to Supervisor any injury, unsafe act or condition, or any failure or impending failure of plant equipment. To perform duties in such a manner as to assure the uninterrupted operation of the Manufacturing Facility and the continuation of the Victaulic Company of America as a clean, safe place of employment.

• Ability to report injuries, unsafe acts/conditions, or equipment failures immediately.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, inspecting, servicing, repairing, cleaning and painting all plant vehicles, material handling equipment, and mobile cranes.
• Troubleshooting and performing mechanical and electrical repairs on equipment.
• Following proper safety procedures, including equipment operation and wearing safety equipment.
• Adhering to reliability procedures, process control requirements, testing procedures, and job description cards.
• Reporting work performed, findings, inspection results, and time/materials used accurately.
• Maintaining a neat and clean work area, returning tools and materials to storage, and removing waste and debris.
• Reporting any injury, unsafe act or condition, or equipment failure immediately to a Supervisor.
• Performing duties to ensure uninterrupted operation of the Manufacturing Facility and a clean, safe place of employment.
