About The Position

To aid in the manufacture and shipment of quality iron castings by means of maintaining, inspecting, servicing, repairing, cleaning and painting all plant vehicles, material handling equipment, and mobile cranes. This role involves troubleshooting and performing all mechanical and electrical repairs to this equipment. The position also requires adherence to safety procedures, proper operation of equipment, wearing appropriate safety gear, and following reliability procedures, process control requirements, testing procedures, and job description cards relevant to the work performed. Accurate reporting of work, findings, and materials used is essential. Maintaining a clean work area, proper storage of tools and materials, and removal of waste are also key responsibilities. Immediate reporting of injuries, unsafe acts or conditions, or equipment failures to the Supervisor is mandatory. The duties are to be performed in a manner that ensures the uninterrupted operation of the Manufacturing Facility and maintains Victaulic Company of America as a clean, safe place of employment.

Requirements

• Ability to report work performed, findings, and time/materials used neatly and accurately.
• Ability to maintain a neat and clean work area.
• Ability to return materials and tools to proper storage.
• Ability to remove waste and debris.
• Ability to immediately report injuries, unsafe acts/conditions, or equipment failures.
• Mechanical and electrical repair skills for vehicles, material handling equipment, and mobile cranes.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, inspecting, servicing, repairing, cleaning, and painting all plant vehicles, material handling equipment, and mobile cranes.
• Troubleshooting and performing all mechanical and electrical repairs to plant equipment.
• Knowing and following proper safety procedures, including equipment operation and wearing safety equipment.
• Knowing and following all reliability procedures, process control requirements, testing procedures, and job description cards as they relate to work being performed.
• Neatly and accurately reporting work performed, findings or results of inspections, and time and materials used.
• Maintaining work area in a neat and clean condition, ensuring materials and tools are returned to proper storage, and removing waste and debris upon completion of work.
• Immediately reporting any injury, unsafe act or condition, or any failure or impending failure of plant equipment to the Supervisor.
• Performing duties to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the Manufacturing Facility and the continuation of Victaulic Company of America as a clean, safe place of employment.
