About The Position
America's Auto Auction (Pittsburgh) is seeking a Vehicle Inspector/Condition Report Writer for their Cartersville, GA auction. This is a growing national auto auction company looking for a detail-oriented, customer-focused individual who is comfortable working independently and as part of a team. No experience is required as training will be provided. The ability to be outside and on your feet most of the time is required for the success of this role.
Requirements
- Strong written communication skills, including grammar, clarity, and attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to accurately interpret inspection data, photographs, and vehicle condition checklists.
- Comfortable working with reporting software, digital platforms, and inspection systems.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and accuracy.
- Need to pass pre-employment screening.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license for the duration of employment.
- Good driving record.
- Able to work in all types of weather conditions and outdoor settings.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a rental car damage inspector, insurance appraiser/adjuster, collision/body shop estimator, auction vehicle inspector, dealership vehicle appraiser, or as a related inspector or appraiser.
Responsibilities
- Review vehicle inspection data and photographs to prepare detailed condition reports.
- Identify damage, wear, and discrepancies using established guidelines and industry standards.
- Ensure reports meet internal quality standards and client requirements.
- Collaborate with field staff and inspection teams to clarify findings as needed.
- Submit accurate, professional reports in a timely manner to support vehicle sales, leasing, and valuation processes.
- Complete 20 to 30 condition reports per day.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
