About The Position

Drive N-Motion is seeking an energetic and motivated Vehicle Auction Buyer to join their team full-time. This position requires the buyer to inspect and purchase vehicles for multiple Drive N-Motion retail sales centers. The buyer will also maintain relationships with auction team members, auctioneers, and sales representatives. The Vehicle Auction Buyer is the main resource for providing quality inventory to retail sales centers and requires an understanding of vehicle appraisals and wholesale pricing strategies. Responsiveness and communication with the assigned Inventory/Operations team leads are critical. A large portion of the day will be spent previewing, inspecting, and appraising vehicles at auctions, as well as following up with departments related to inventory control metrics. The position may also require representing and remarketing wholesale scheduled vehicles. Buyers are paid a designated flat rate per vehicle, reviewed monthly based on purchased inventory designated for retail sale versus vehicles sent back to wholesale. The company provides tools, support, and freedom to maximize earnings potential. Retail sales centers sell over 200 vehicles monthly, offering steady earnings potential. Inventory Auction Buyers typically purchase 15-30 vehicles weekly, with potential monthly income exceeding $12,000 when buying volume is maximized.

Requirements

2-5 years Wholesale / Auto industry auction buying experience is required
Knowledge of wholesaling, appraisal experience, auctions required
Auto industry buyer experience required
Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

Inspect and purchase vehicles for retail customer buying audience.

Source vehicles and achieve target goals related to buying direction and weekly focus shifts.
Work closely with auction personnel and upper-level management to strengthen relationships and achieve success.
Preview, inspect, and appraise vehicles at auctions.
Follow up with multiple departments across the company related to inventory control metrics.
Represent and remarket wholesale scheduled vehicles among multiple markets.
