About The Position

Huntington Beach Hyundai is seeking a Used Vehicle Buyer to be responsible for all aspects of used-vehicle inventory acquisition. This includes sourcing, purchasing, appraisal, and inventory management. The role involves sourcing inventory through various channels such as direct outreach, generated leads, off-site auctions, dealer networks, customer internet inquiries, and other acquisition opportunities. The buyer will also respond to customer inquiries, produce leads, create appointments by researching the used car market, understand market tendencies and changes, and compile necessary reports and documentation. Special projects may also be assigned.

Requirements

2+ years experience appraising vehicles.
2+ years experience working at an automotive dealership.
Basic knowledge of the automotive market.
Previous car sales experience.
Build rapport and trust with customers.
Effective planning, organization, and time management skills
Working knowledge of computer systems and office software
High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.

Understand market tendencies and the changes to the trends in all geographic areas.
Compile all necessary reports, forms and other documentation.
