Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in partnerships, VC platform, investor relations, or a similar role.
  • Strong executive presence, comfortable building relationships with investors, execs, and individual contributors.
  • Ability to represent Clay thoughtfully in conversations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a writer's instinct for crafting sharp, personalized outreach.
  • Process-oriented mindset, with the ability to build systems for tracking, reporting, prioritization, and follow-through.
  • Deep familiarity using AI in daily workflows to automate processes and increase leverage.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and energized by fast-moving environments where priorities shift and the playbook is still being written.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and activate Clay's investor network, owning relationships with existing and prospective investors.
  • Turn investor partnerships into a revenue-generating channel that drives net-new pipeline, accelerates deals, and deepens relationships with existing customers.
  • Build net-new pipeline by meeting regularly with investors, understanding their portfolios and networks, and working with the sales team to prioritize accounts for introductions.
  • Craft ideal contact and message strategies for outreach to different roles (e.g., CEO vs. Head of Sales).
  • Partner with the Growth Strategy team to leverage investors for introductions to senior executives at current customers to build stronger relationships.
  • Develop systems and playbooks to scale investor-sourced introductions, including account prioritization, writing forwardable notes, and tracking introductions.
