Requirements

Bachelor or Degree required, preferably in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical)
Experience (2+ years) in Product Engineering or Technical Sales
Must have experience working with connectors / terminals or wire harnesses
Experience working directly with OEM for part approvals preferred
Strong communication skills with ability to create presentations
Experience working directly with clients (face to face)
Ability to travel – mostly local

Responsibilities

Analyze bill of material and work with cross functional team to identify and quantify component value opportunities
Work as liaison between OEM and supply base to get components fully validated and approved for usage
Work across internal cross functional team to rapidly implement best cost component opportunities
Support purchasing team in component strategy development
Lead engineering evaluation of new components including robustness and total system cost
Work with Global teams to ensure sharing of opportunities for best value components
