About The Position

Pulse Heart Institute, a physician-led institute within MultiCare, brings together cardiothoracic surgery, vascular, and cardiovascular services. Its programs provide cardiac, thoracic, and vascular care, including complex structural heart disease and interventions, advanced heart failure services, and advanced imaging technologies. The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist performs technical, non-invasive vascular procedures and ensures quality test results to help physicians diagnose vascular disorders. Working at a technical level under limited supervision, the technologist independently performs vascular procedures and uses vascular expertise, analysis, discretion, and good judgment in decision-making. The role requires understanding age-related care needs for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. External contacts include patients, family members, and physicians; internal contacts include nursing service staff and management. This is a per diem position with a 0.01 FTE and variable shifts and schedule. Requirements

Satisfactory completion of the RVT certification examination and/or ARDMS certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
Current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

Minimum two years of college coursework preferred.
Minimum two years of experience in vascular imaging preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform technical non-invasive vascular procedures.
Assure quality test results to assist physicians with diagnosing vascular disorders.
