About The Position

Provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound to generate non-invasive images of the vascular system. Uses knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology to evaluate images for diagnostic quality and make necessary adjustments. Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information. Ensures patient safety and comfort by explaining procedures, positioning patients correctly, and adjusting equipment as needed. Follows vascular imaging protocols in accordance with accreditation guidelines and provides intraoperative ultrasound as requested.

Requirements

0–3 years of relevant experience.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Active status through one of the following credentials: ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist—Vascular Technology (RVT/VT); CCI Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS); or ARRT Registered Technologist—Vascular Sonography (RT(VS)).
Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when a patient's condition does not permit routine positioning.

Nice To Haves

Advanced Life Support certification, if applicable.
Experience in diagnostic ultrasound, if applicable.
Registry or certification requirements for another modality, if applicable.
Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Generate non-invasive images of the vascular system using ultrasound.
Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and make adjustments to capture the best possible images.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.
Explain procedures, position patients correctly, and adjust equipment to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Comply with vascular imaging protocols in accordance with accreditation guidelines.
Provide intraoperative ultrasound as requested.
