About The Position

The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist supports the day-to-day operations of the Charlotte Radiology Vein Centers. The technologist performs ultrasound examinations for patients receiving pre- and post-operative scans and works with physicians during vein treatment procedures, providing ultrasound scanning for vein access and treatment tracking. This is a PRN role with no guaranteed weekly hours or schedule and a maximum of 24 hours per week. The stated PRN rate is $46.50. Daytime hours; location is SouthPark in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Requirements

• Associate degree or junior-college education in ultrasound.
• RVT certification.
• CPR certification.
• 1–3 years of experience in radiology and vascular care.
• Knowledge of clinical details of procedures and scans performed in Vein Centers and the flow of vein treatments.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of Charlotte Radiology policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Ability to operate ultrasound machines.
• Knowledge of the venous system and appropriate scanning techniques for identifying venous disease.
• Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer and technical skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Document clinical history and perform ultrasound evaluation and scanning of patients’ venous systems before and after procedures.
• Explain clinical details of scans and procedures to patients.
• Review physician-dictated reports after visits to ensure accuracy.
• Work with physicians during vein treatment procedures, providing scanning for vein access and treatment tracking.
