The role requires broad vascular ultrasound experience, proficiency in venous reflux insufficiency imaging, and the ability to manage daily imaging responsibilities independently. On-site onboarding and targeted protocol training with management or clinical leadership may be provided during the first few weeks, depending on experience and training needs. After onboarding, the technologist works independently, with management and clinical leadership available for consultation and escalation. The technologist performs vascular ultrasound examinations under established protocols, including peripheral arterial and venous imaging; venous reflux insufficiency imaging; extracranial carotid Doppler imaging; visceral and abdominal vascular imaging; preoperative vein mapping; and surveillance of grafts, stents, and dialysis access. The role also involves preparing and assisting patients, maintaining their safety and comfort, documenting findings, completing charts and logs, and ensuring images are saved to PACS. Other duties include operating and checking ultrasound equipment, reporting malfunctions, cleaning and disinfecting equipment and patient-contact surfaces, maintaining a clean examination room and stocked supplies, following compliance requirements and company policies, and participating in quality improvement, professional development, and required meetings. Work includes direct interaction with patients, facility staff, and physicians, patient positioning, examination-room preparation, and desk and computer work. The position has daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or call responsibilities. Competitive salary is based on experience.
