About The Position

Texas Cardiac and Vascular Institute is seeking an experienced registered vascular technologist committed to high-quality imaging and excellent patient care. The role requires broad vascular ultrasound experience, proficiency in venous reflux insufficiency imaging, and the ability to manage daily imaging responsibilities independently. On-site onboarding and targeted protocol training with management or clinical leadership may be provided during the first few weeks, based on experience and training needs. After onboarding, the technologist works independently, with management and clinical leadership support available for consultation and escalation. The technologist performs vascular ultrasound examinations according to institute protocols, including peripheral arterial and venous imaging, venous reflux insufficiency imaging, extracranial carotid Doppler imaging, visceral and abdominal vascular imaging, preoperative vein mapping, and surveillance of grafts, stents, and dialysis access. The role also includes preparing and assisting patients, documenting findings and examination records, maintaining patient charts and logs, saving images to PACS, operating and inspecting ultrasound equipment, performing quality-control activities, cleaning and disinfecting equipment and patient-contact surfaces, and maintaining a clean and stocked examination room. The technologist follows applicable regulations, company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements; supports the institute’s mission, vision, core values, and customer service philosophy; and participates in quality improvement, professional development, and required meetings. Work involves direct interaction with patients, facility staff, and physicians, patient positioning, examination-room preparation, and desk and computer work. The position has daytime hours Monday through Friday, with no weekend or call responsibilities. Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
