About The Position
Under the general direction of a physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), the Vascular Tech assists by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. The role ensures the procedure room is adequately prepared and monitors par levels of instruments and supplies. The technician participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities, helps train new staff, and assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience assisting with scrubbing procedures and monitoring data.
- BCLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and must be maintained as current.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Proficient computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab is preferred.
- Cardiovascular technician training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
Responsibilities
