Vascular Tech - Cardiac Catherization

About The Position
Paradise Valley Hospital is seeking a Vascular Tech for its cardiac catheterization lab. Under the general direction of a physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), the technician assists with scrubbing procedures and/or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab. The role also supports invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures, room readiness, supply and instrument levels, staff training, meetings, and performance improvement activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience assisting with scrubbing procedures and monitoring data; cardiovascular lab experience is preferred.
- BCLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and must be maintained current.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Proficient computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Cardiovascular technician training program with an emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Assist with scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab.
- Ensure the procedure room is adequately prepared for procedures.
- Monitor par levels of instruments and supplies.
- Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
- Participate in training new staff.
- Assist with all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
