About The Position

Baylor Scott and White Medical Center – Irving is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Operating Room. This facility performs a wide range of surgical cases including Robotic, General, Podiatry, Colorectal, GYN, Cardiothoracic, Orthopedic, Endovascular, and Urology on high acuity patients. The OR has 11 suites, including 2 Hybrid ORs, and is expanding to add five additional surgical suites. The leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and team member development. The Surgical Services department serves outpatients and inpatients, including those requiring ICU/CCU care with ventilators, central line/aline management, critical drips, and PCU/Tele/Med-Surg. Patient safety is a top priority, and the department is family and teamwork oriented with an active Unit Based Council.

Requirements

• 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
• RN – Registered Nurse License
• BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)

Responsibilities

• Provide care to outpatients and inpatients, including those in ICU/CCU with ventilators, central line/aline management, and critical drips.
• Manage patient care in the Operating Room, DSU, and PACU with specified patient ratios.
• Prioritize patient and staff safety.
• Participate in unit-based councils and contribute to a family and teamwork-oriented environment.
