About The Position

ChristianaCare is actively recruiting a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Vascular Neurologist to join their well-established and growing physician-led practice. This role involves overseeing acute stroke care and general consults at ChristianaCare, with in-person work at the Newark and Wilmington campuses. The program utilizes a robust internal tele-network for acute stroke coverage across the system and is implementing an overnight virtual shift-based model to enhance physician well-being and work-life balance. ChristianaCare's Newark campus is the state's only Comprehensive Stroke Center, consistently receiving high awards from the American Heart Association. The Wilmington campus is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center. The program is comprehensive, including a dedicated Neurointensive Care Unit, a transitional Neuro Unit, the state's only epilepsy monitoring unit, and acute inpatient beds staffed by specialized nurses and allied health professionals. The hospital-based team is further supported by 18 subspecialty-trained physicians.

Requirements

• M.D., D.O., or equivalent
• BE/BC in Neurology
• BE/BC in Vascular Neurology
• Strong clinical skills
• Excellent communication abilities
