About The Position

Provide inpatient, clinical-only locum tenens coverage for interventional radiology services at a Level II trauma center in Kearney, Nebraska. Coverage is scheduled on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. across specified dates from November 23, 2026, through April 2, 2027, to fill a vacancy. The case mix includes interventional radiology procedures involving areas such as spine, oncology, and breast care.

The physician will perform a broad range of image-guided procedures and provide coverage for additional services including barium work, lumbar punctures, paracentesis, and thoracentesis. The role includes collaboration with dedicated technologists, registered nurses, and a physician assistant, as well as timely documentation in the Epic EMR. Hospital privileges are required.

Requirements

• Board certified.
• Active Nebraska license or Universal License (IMLC).
• Clean background and malpractice history.
• Availability at the time of name clearance.
• Hospital privileges required.

Responsibilities

• Cover interventional radiology services at a Level II trauma center.
• Perform broad-based interventional radiology procedures, including spine procedures, port and central line placements, biopsies, drainages, oncology interventions, kyphoplasty, and breast biopsies.
• Provide coverage for barium work, lumbar punctures, paracentesis, and thoracentesis, with PA support.
• Collaborate with technologists and nursing support staff.
• Maintain timely documentation in the Epic EMR.
