About The Position
The Vascular/Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for explaining procedures to patients and/or their guardians/family members, performing complex procedures with consideration for age-related criteria and developmental needs, and adjusting technique parameters accordingly. The role involves producing quality Echocardiograms, Stress Echocardiograms, Transesophageal Echocardiograms, and/or Vascular studies in accordance with department policies, procedures, and IAC standards.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
- 1 year prior experience preferred
- Cardiac experience highly preferred
- RCS – Registered Cardiac Sonographer upon hire required OR RDCS – Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer upon hire required OR RVT – Registered Vascular Technologist upon hire required OR RVS – Registered Vascular Specialist upon hire required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree from accredited school of Ultrasound Technology preferred
Responsibilities
