About The Position
At Franciscan, our Vascular Access RN we need are looking for an expert at vascular line access. Someone who can be a resource to staff regarding vascular access line therapy and IV assessment, products, and procedures. This role assists with difficult IV access when needed, access, and identifies the vascular access needs of the patient. This Nurse will be responsible for the coordination of our patients who have vascular access devices, expansion of the Program, coordinating the Program Direction, and oversight of Regulatory Quality Metrics.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Vascular Access experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association

Responsibilities
- Insert and monitor PICC, Midlines, Central Lines, and peripheral IV sites.
- Act as a resource to staff regarding vascular access line therapy and IV assessment, products, and procedures.
- Assist with difficult IV access when needed, access, and identify the vascular access needs of the patient
- Procure, deliver, and coordinate vascular access for the patient in the hospital.
- Determine the best vascular access device for the patient based on medications, current access status, diagnoses, length of IV therapy.
- Utilize evidence-based protocols in developing or revising clinical pathways, standing orders, and policies/procedures.
