About The Position

The Assistant Warehouse Manager-Retail Fulfillment position is responsible for managing daily retail fulfillment operations of the warehouse(s) on their designated shift. This includes scheduling warehouse worker hours, inbound and outbound loading, inventory control, maintenance of warehouse equipment, and warehouse housekeeping.

Requirements

  • Warehouse management experience with additional background in VAS/light assembly.
  • Solid experience in Excel, data entry, and general computer skills.
  • Experience with managing a staff of 30 or more employees and multiple shifts.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and orderly warehouse operation.
  • Good communication.

  • Ability to Define and resolve problems.

  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Attention to detail and quality is a must.
  • Flexibility in working overtime when needed and supplying coverage to other shifts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse.
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years of management experience.
  • Experienced in Warehousing Management.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Executing root cause investigations.
  • Monitoring and ensuring production matches lead-times.
  • Assisting in pricing out projects, laying out production lines, and adjusting layout as needed.
  • Sitting in on internal and external customer sales meetings or calls.
  • Provide management with financial reporting and oversight.
  • Ordering supplies weekly to ensure all materials for projects are on hand.
  • Managing multiple projects, executed at multiple facilities.
  • Ensure all paperwork from previous day’s work is complete and distributed to proper departments.
  • Conducts periodic dock safety checks.
  • Keeps track of warehouse customer’s inventory by computer and complete physical inventory counts.
  • Ensures timely processing of warehouse customer orders, bill preparation and inventory control.
  • Oversee the picking of orders from the warehouse and the staging or loading of the orders.
  • Managing warehouse personnel, scheduling work hours, personnel issues, performance reviews, and all disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure all training of fork-lift operators on the procedures for handling company freight and specific requirements for handling customer’s freight.
  • Manage warehouse space and maximize usage of warehouse layout.
  • Ensure the warehouse is kept clean and always organized, and that all food safety requirements are met.
