About The Position

The VAS (Value-Added Services) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the VAS department, ensuring production goals are met with accuracy, efficiency, and quality. This role requires a confident, organized leader with strong production experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain accountability across the team.

Requirements

  • Proven production experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or VAS environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Ability to discipline and hold associates accountable in a fair, consistent, and timely manner.
  • Strong inventory management skills, including tracking, counting, and reconciliation.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to determine "root cause" of problem and determine corrective action.
  • Knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand; walk; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl.
  • Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.
  • Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
  • Regularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
  • Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
  • Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.
  • Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.
  • Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
  • Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a high-volume distribution or logistics environment.
  • Familiarity with labeling software (NiceLabel, Bartender) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily VAS production activities to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Assign work, monitor progress, and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
  • Utilize strong inventory skills to track materials, maintain accurate counts, and support inventory control processes.
  • Identify issues quickly and apply effective problem-solving skills to keep production running smoothly.
  • Enforce company policies and provide corrective action or discipline to associates when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Communicate clearly with associates, leadership, and other departments regarding production needs and updates.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and workflow efficiency.
