About The Position

Southbridge Public Schools serve approximately 2,200 students across six schools and are undergoing a significant transformation, particularly in their secondary schools. Requirements

Prior coaching experience in a college, high school, or a recognized and successful program.

Responsibilities

Accountable for the entire program, including safety and inventory of athletic equipment.
Communicate with the Athletic Director concerning incidents involving student athletes or parental concerns.
Promote academics before athletics by monitoring academic performance and enforcing eligibility.
Allow all student athletes the opportunity to compete in the sport while promoting sportsmanship.
Build a positive relationship with the community to promote the sport.
Demonstrate all skills, drills and fundamentals of the sport.
Manage and take inventory of all equipment.
Be present at all weekend activities.
Supervise athletes before practices, during/after practices and during activities/events.
Attend coaching meetings as assigned.
Evaluate the progress of the student athletes.
Assist with fundraising along with promoting community support and awareness.
Set scrimmages, game schedules, and practice schedules for the program.
Perform all other duties assigned by the Athletic Director and/or Varsity Coach.
