About The Position

Notre Dame de Sion School for Girls in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced Cheer Coach for the 2025-26 school year. This position will be assisting in the development of the Cheer program and participants and assist in coaching. The position's objective is to assist the current High School Cheer program and team, and to assist in the development of summer Cheer conditioning camps for 5th-12th grade girls. Candidates who could possibly fulfill a full-time staff or faculty position on one of the Sion campuses are of interest.

Requirements

• Experience in developing HS Cheer program and participants
• Evidenced ability to maintain and consistently exemplify the highest standards of educational professionalism, leadership, sportsmanship and respect
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work with students, staff, administration, and parents with proven organizational and motivational skills and possess the ability to maintain classroom and/or coaching responsibilities on and off campus
• Flexibility in work schedule, as needed, as involvement in student life is an expectation of all teachers and/or coaches
• Minimum two (2) years of experience coaching Cheer and teaching cheer skills and strategies that apply to the skill level of the players
• Knowledge of appropriate safety measures to ensure the well being of players
• Experience working with an Athletic Trainer, ensuring student-athletes receive proper medical and physical training services
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position
