Van Driver-Non CDL
About The Position
The Van Driver safely operates a transit van on a morning and afternoon schedule, transporting students according to assigned routes and schedules. The driver maintains order and security on the van, complies with applicable laws, regulations, and conduct rules, and operates the vehicle in a way that minimizes the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life. The role also includes maintaining the van in good operating condition, completing daily safety and maintenance checks and pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting discrepancies, keeping the van clean and fueled, coordinating maintenance with mechanics, arranging cleaning, and ensuring the van is safely and securely stored. Attendance at required training programs and meetings is expected.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with good public relations and customer service.
- Valid Class D driver's license and a good driving record.
- Favorable background check.
- Ability to obtain a commercial driver's license.
