About The Position

The Guidance Center (TGC), a Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas, is seeking a Van Driver for Ride LV. The role provides scheduled and on-demand public transportation within the Leavenworth and Lansing city limits, transporting clients and members of the public to obtain resources such as groceries and attend medical appointments. The position also supports passenger safety, vehicle upkeep, service documentation, and effective coordination with TGC staff and external customers. The hourly rate is $18.34 to $20.82, depending on qualifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
One year of experience delivering high-quality passenger service within the transportation industry.

Nice To Haves

Class B CDL.

Responsibilities

Transport clients and members of the general public for resource acquisition, such as obtaining groceries and attending medical appointments, as directed by the Dispatcher and/or Transportation Coordinator.
Arrange for wheelchair procurement and provide safety and sensitivity for non-ambulatory passengers.
Maintain daily transportation-service records, including number of passengers served, miles driven, time required, and gallons of gasoline used.
Monitor vans for needed service and repairs, including cleaning, oil changes, tires, brakes, and belts, and arrange for service as directed by the supervisor.
Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Adapt to changing work priorities and a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with TGC staff, external customers, and referral sources.
Participate in training as directed by the immediate supervisor or TGC management staff.
Meet HIPAA standards for confidentiality of medical records.
Comply with TGC’s Corporate Compliance Policy and applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards of conduct, and report suspected violations to the Corporate Compliance Officer or Chief Executive Officer.
