About The Position

Gordon Food Service Store LLC is hiring a part-time Van Delivery Driver at its Indianapolis, Indiana location. The role is responsible for courteous, accurate, and on-time delivery of products along a variable daily route. The driver operates the van professionally and safely, with attention to detail and safe work habits, and may assist with store operations before or after completing the route. Delivery duties include locating and picking orders in-store for wholesale customers, maintaining good customer relationships, delivering products accurately and on time, and completing daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment. In-store duties include processing customer purchases at the point of sale, protecting cash, checks, and merchandise in accordance with policies, and receiving and merchandising products while maintaining product rotation, quality, displays, stock, and backroom organization. The position requires an unrestricted standard operator’s license, a clean driving record with no drug or alcohol offenses in the past five years, and the ability to pass a drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report. The driver must be at least 18 years old and able to use a two-wheel cart carrying up to 350 pounds and lift up to 70 pounds. The employer describes weekly pay, store hours of Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The stores are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Easter. Requirements

At least 18 years old.
Unrestricted standard operator’s license.
Clean driving record with no drug or alcohol offenses in the past five years.
Successfully pass pre-employment checks, including a drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
Able to use a two-wheel cart with a load weighing up to 350 pounds.
Able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of previous delivery driving experience.
One year of experience in customer service or a related field.

Responsibilities

Accurately locate and pick in-store orders for wholesale customers.
