Part Time Van Delivery Driver
About The Position
Gordon Food Service Store, the retail division of Gordon Food Service, is hiring a part-time Van Delivery Driver. The role delivers products to Wholesale customers along a variable daily route and provides additional assistance with store operations before or after completing the route. The driver is expected to make courteous, accurate, and timely deliveries while operating the van professionally and safely. The position also supports in-store customer service, purchasing transactions, receiving, merchandising, and organization of store areas. The store is located at 1856 Plaudit Pl, Lexington, KY 40509-2429. Pay is $16 per hour. Weekend availability is needed. The stores are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, and Easter. Gordon Food Service describes its workplace as customer-focused and offers internal promotion and development programs. Requirements
- At least one year of previous delivery driving experience and one year in customer service or a related field are preferred.
- An unrestricted standard operator's license is required.
- Must have a clean driving record, with no drug or alcohol offenses in the last five years.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment checks, including a drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
- Must be able to use a two-wheel cart with a load weighing up to 350 pounds.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Weekend availability is needed.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Accurately locate and pick in-store orders for Wholesale customers.
- Build and maintain good customer relationships.
- Deliver Gordon Food Service products accurately and on time.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
- Assist with store operations before or after completing the delivery route.
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently through the point of sale.
- Protect cash, checks, and merchandise by following security policies and procedures.
- Receive and merchandise products accurately, ensuring proper rotation and product quality.
- Execute end-cap and planogram displays and maintain top stock, freezer, cooler, and backroom organization.
