About The Position

Gordon Food Service Store LLC is hiring a part-time Van Delivery Driver for its Novi, Michigan location. The role delivers products to wholesale customers on a variable daily route, with a focus on courteous, accurate, and on-time service and safe, professional vehicle operation. The driver also assists with store operations before or after completing the route. Delivery duties include locating and picking customer orders in the store, maintaining positive customer relationships, and conducting daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment. Store duties include processing customer purchases at the point of sale, safeguarding cash, checks, and merchandise, and receiving and merchandising products while maintaining rotation, quality, displays, and organization across the store, freezer, cooler, and backroom. The position pays $16–$18 per hour based on experience. Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m.–8 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. The stores are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, and Easter. Requirements

At least 18 years old.
Unrestricted standard operator's license.
Clean driving record, with no drug or alcohol offenses in the last five years.
Ability to pass pre-employment checks, including a drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
Ability to use a two-wheel cart carrying a load weighing up to 350 pounds.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of previous delivery-driving experience.
At least one year of customer service experience or experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

Accurately locate and pick orders in-store for wholesale customers.
Build and maintain good customer relationships and provide accurate, timely deliveries of products.
Operate the van professionally and safely, demonstrating attention to detail and safe work habits.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
Assist with store operations before or after completing the delivery route.
Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently at the point of sale.
Protect company assets, including cash, checks, and merchandise, by following policies and procedures.
Receive and merchandise products accurately, ensuring proper rotation and product quality.
Execute end-cap and planogram displays and maintain top stock, freezer, cooler, and backroom organization.
