Part Time Van Delivery Driver
About The Position
Gordon Food Service Store is hiring a part-time Van Delivery Driver in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The role is responsible for courteous, timely, and accurate deliveries of products along a variable daily route. The driver operates a van professionally and safely, with attention to detail and safe work habits, and may assist with store operations before or after completing the route. Delivery work includes locating and picking wholesale customer orders in-store, maintaining customer relationships, delivering products accurately and on time, and performing daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment. In-store duties include processing customer purchases at the point of sale, protecting cash, checks, and merchandise according to policies, and receiving and merchandising products. This includes product rotation and quality, end-cap and planogram execution, and organization of top stock, freezer, cooler, and backroom areas. The position requires an unrestricted standard operator’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to use a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds and lift up to 70 pounds. Applicants must be at least 18 and pass pre-employment checks, including a drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report. Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Unrestricted standard operator’s license.
- Clean driving record, with no drug- or alcohol-related offenses in the last five years.
- Successfully pass pre-employment checks, including a drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
- Able to use a two-wheel cart with a load weighing up to 350 pounds.
- Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of previous delivery driving experience and one year in customer service or a related field are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Locate and pick orders in-store for wholesale customers.
