The Van Body Assembler assembles and installs van bodies—including walls, floors, and roofs—to high-quality standards. The role requires attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Assemblers work with a team to meet production deadlines and ensure assemblies meet customer standards.

The work involves regular, sustained moderately physically demanding tasks, including working at heights, climbing ladders, and lifting or moving materials. Essential functions may also involve exposure to odors, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, hazardous materials, toxic agents, machinery, heavy equipment, vibrations, or traffic hazards.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work precisely.
• Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.
• Ability to perform tasks involving climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderately heavy objects and materials weighing 20–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install van bodies, including walls, floors, and roofs.
• Measure and cut materials according to specifications.
• Use tools and equipment such as saws, drills, and riveters.
• Ensure accurate and precise installation of components.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure assemblies meet customer standards.
• Work in a team environment to meet production deadlines.
