About The Position

A Valve Technician Helper is responsible for assisting with various valve maintenance and repairs on offshore and land facilities. Candidates MUST be willing and able to work a 24/7 callout schedule. Positions will consist of offshore and land locations. Candidates MUST be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Records Check. Duties and responsibilities may be added or changed at any time at the discretion of your supervisor, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. May be required to travel to the worksite via marine or helicopter transport. May be required to reside at the worksite on a predetermined work schedule.

Requirements

Mechanically inclined.
Valid TWIC card.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Live within 45 minutes from the shop.
High School Graduate or have a GED.
Ability to work overtime and holidays as needed and must be available for call outs as required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with valves is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist Valve Technician as needed.
Identify and use basic hand tools.
Perform general housekeeping.
Provide account manager support by phone and email.
Complete preventative maintenance on department equipment.
Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
Perform other duties as required.
Responsible for participating in all safety training and assisting in safety procedures such as first aid, CPR, fire drills, and emergency evacuation.
Take proper care of test instruments and tools in their care.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently without direct supervision.
