About The Position

This is a Cactus Wellhead position located in Odessa, TX, seeking local candidates for a Day Shift role. The primary function of this role is to perform repair, assembly/disassembly, testing, painting, and shipping of wellhead equipment. The position requires practicing safe work habits and complying with all quality, safety, health, and environmental policies. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory of components and sub-assemblies, testing equipment to specifications, checking equipment compatibility and condition, servicing and repairing equipment as requested by customers, identifying necessary tools and parts, and maintaining high customer satisfaction through timely and competent service. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic understanding of API, QA and QPM
  • Intermediate Computer Skills
  • Intermediate Language Skills
  • Intermediate Mathematical Skills
  • Intermediate Reasoning Ability
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
  • Climb stairs and ladders
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach
  • Work in confined spaces when required
  • Operate heavy equipment and power tools
  • Perform repetitive movements
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations.
  • Maintain inventory for all identified components and sub-assemblies for wellhead equipment.
  • Test equipment based on specifications.
  • Checking compatibility of equipment, evaluating and inspecting condition, dry fitting and communicating relevant information with internal sources.
  • Servicing equipment as requested by customers in accordance with maintenance procedures.
  • Repairing equipment as requested by customers and as necessary due to field malfunctions.
  • Identifying and ensuring appropriate tools, backup equipment and parts are available.
  • Maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction by providing timely and competent service.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
