About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Valve Service & Repair Technician to join our team. This role involves the disassembly, inspection, cleaning, repair, and reassembly of industrial valves, actuators, and related equipment. You will diagnose mechanical issues, perform various types of testing to ensure equipment meets specifications, and troubleshoot/repair equipment both in the shop and at customer facilities. The position also includes assisting with equipment installations, start-ups, and maintenance projects, as well as completing detailed service reports. This role offers travel opportunities within the Oil & Gas industry and overtime is available.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read technical drawings and repair documentation
  • Willingness to travel and work at industrial customer sites
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card
  • Must be able to participate in the DISA Random Testing Program (RTP)
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight assignments
  • Comfortable working in both shop and industrial field environments

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and reassemble industrial valves, actuators, and related equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical issues including leaks, wear, corrosion, and performance failures
  • Perform pressure testing, seat leak testing, and functional testing to ensure equipment meets specifications
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment both in the shop and at customer facilities
  • Assist with equipment installations, start-ups, and maintenance projects
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and maintenance manuals
  • Complete detailed service reports documenting inspections, repairs, and testing results
  • Follow all safety, quality, and customer requirements
