About The Position
Cleans, disassembles, maintains, and repairs valves in commercial or industrial establishments. This role involves dismantling, cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and sanitizing valves, as well as completing preventative maintenance tasks. The position requires adherence to safety and security procedures, following company policies, and striving to increase productivity while maintaining sanitation standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.
- Lift 50 pounds 100-200 times during the shift
- Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift
- Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Work atop a ladder
- Talk and hear
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Responsibilities
- Dismantles, Cleans, Inspects, Repairs, Sanitizes, and replaces valves.
- Completing PM’s.
