As the Valve and Hydrant Worker, you will: Assist with the daily maintenance and operation of valves and hydrants in the City’s water distribution system including, but limited to exercising, testing, inspection, painting, and repairs of distribution system valves and fire hydrants. Assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of the water and wastewater utilities including main lines, service lines, valves, hydrants, and treatment and/or pumping facilities. Answer emergency calls from the public and other agencies taking appropriate action such as water services, water main, water meters, and other repairs to the water system. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a Class A CDL
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background investigation and MVR check.
  • Must possess valid class C driver’s license.

Responsibilities
