About The Position

OPmobility is hiring a Validation Engineer for the North America (NAO) region. The role focuses on component and integration validation, test planning and execution, test process improvements, and developing and sharing technical expertise. The Validation Engineer coordinates external testing vendors, schedules, budgets, suppliers, test facilities, and material needs, while ensuring requirements are traceable to test plans and tests are completed and documented. The role also contributes to improving tools and processes and reports quality, lead-time, and validation progress metrics.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in physics, mechatronics, or energy.
First experience in testing and mechatronics.
English.
Technical skills in mechatronics, system analysis, testing, and coding.
Communication, synthesis, team spirit, and transversal management skills.

Responsibilities

Develop component validation test plans in accordance with OPmobility and OEM standards.
Develop integration test plans, including non-regression tests.
Help select external vendors to complete testing on time and within budget.
Develop testing timelines and budgets, monitor supplier progress, and provide regular status updates to the core team.
Ensure requirements are traceable to test plans.
Ensure tests are completed and write test reports.
Create and document Control Anomaly Reports (CARs), participate in CAR reviews, and validate CAR corrections.
Consolidate workload forecasts and identify resources needed for assigned test plans.
Anticipate material needs and coordinate the use of parts between testing facilities.
Improve tools for traceability and test automation.
Develop expertise by capturing lessons learned and sharing information.
Update affected documents or create missing documentation as needed.
Introduce tools and working methods to improve efficiency.
Propose improvements to the mechatronics process.
Report quality and lead time, CAR KPIs, and CVP/IVP progress KPIs.
